Summary
We are working with a wonderful school who are looking for an approachable, caring, and understanding graduate to work a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant with the desire to work with SEN pupils.
This is a full-time role that will begin with starts in September, January and Easter and continue for the full academic year. So, if you’re looking for a great opportunity to work with SEN pupils and gain classroom experience with the idea of moving into a teaching role in the future.
- Working with specific children from Early Years through to KS2 that require extra help and target support, depending on their needs
- Leading sessions outside of the classroom with children both 1-1 and small groups
- Planning and resourcing intervention sessions
- Working alongside other professionals to assess children including writing EHCPs
- Working with other teaching staff to design the best strategies to meet a pupil’s needs.

Selection Criteria
- Be passionate about working with SEN pupils
- Be able to inspire and motive those that need additional support
- Have a good understanding of different needs pupils in a school can have
- Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people
- Be creative, friendly, and approachable
- Any previous TA/SEN experience – be that in or out of the classroom – would be advantageous but not essential
Required Qualifications
- Hold/Predicted a degree with a 2.2 or above
- GCSEs in Maths and English (minimum 4 or C)
- Plus Science (minimum C) for Primary based roles
