Are you interested in exploring a teaching career in a school but don’t have the school experience?

Our Graduates into Teaching Pathway gives you several months of paid experience as a Teaching Assistant in schools. You will work with partner schools in Newcastle and the surrounding areas and receive training before starting your role and during your role. You can observe great teaching and discover what working as a Teacher is like whilst getting paid.

What can I expect from the role?

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant on our Graduates into Teaching Pathway you will be supporting pupils in groups and on a 1:1 basis. Posts vary from short term to long term in our partner Secondary schools, SEN schools and Primary schools.
You will be mentored and coached by the team to allow you to grow your skillset as your train. We will match you schools near you for your placement.

Required Qualifications:

• You will hold a degree in any subject.
• Hold/Predicted a degree with a 2.2 or above
• GCSEs in Maths and English (minimum 4 or C)

In addition, you must:

• Provide two referees we can contact
• Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one
Graduates into Teaching is run by Premier Teachers Ltd, a teacher run agency based in Sunderland. We provide a supply and permanent placement service to schools in the North East and Teesside area. We are very friendly, incredibly supportive and we offer training on site or in house to help to move your career on.
